Having all of my passwords random, and out of sight makes them both more secure and less of a headache. I used to always forget passwords but with dashlane and its installment within my browser i NEVER have to type in a password unless Im making it, and even then dashlane can automatically generate a strong passwprd and save it with the press of a button.
I’ve tried several other password managers in the past. Dashlane is a beautiful app which offers solid security along with ease of use. One of the things that I love most is the password changer. It makes changing your passwords automatic and it couldn’t be simpler to use…I just with it worked with every site out there but I’m sure Dashlane continuously works to make that list grow. Give it a try, you won’t be sorry.
Dashlanes altered my online security and daily productivity for the better, no doubt. Its not flashy but its very aesthetically pleasing, its not complicated but theres a plethora/variety of features (especially in comparison to competition)...Im a premium subscriber going on 11 months and Ive got NO hesitation when it comes to renewing my premium membership this year. None. All in all its an app and a service I would not want to be without.
Ive been using this app for a while now after converting from 1Password. This app started out a bit clinky for me, but the more I use this app, the better it seems to get. There are still some add-ons that i’d like to see in the future. For example: ability to hide certain passwords like in a seperate ‘vault. Additionally, id like to see more seperation in the Wallet and ID features and break down the many EMAIL addresses in a seperate section. But, for now, I will continue to use this app as my PASSWORD protector. Keep up the great work and keep improving!
Dashlane at first seemed like it was a great app. I purchased the premium version to sync across all my devices. Unfortunately, after I had paid for it and installed it in numerous places I found out that it it often randomly replaced passwords or didn’t activate to replace passwords in certain programs. Also, when I had issues with the program and concerns about a potential security breach and contacted customer service they were extremely slow to respond and provided generic, unhelpful answers. In addition, Mac OS Sierra has been out for several weeks, but Dashlane still hasn’t figured out how to fully support their program in it. Dashlane had a lot of potential and I thought it was a keeper, but it turns out to be a flawed program with questionable security (which is a big concern given that they have all my passwords; still don’t know if my account has been hacked as I can’t get customer service to respond) and doesn’t work on Mac OS. Time to switch horses and try another program as I have lost my confidence that Dashlane is truly a secure way to store my passwords or that it works properly.
Dashlane was recommended to me and it has been a life saver. I am not an advanced user and don’t know much about computers beyond word processin, email, and social media. So if Dashlane is easy for me, anyone can use it. Having 20 or 30 passwords to remember for work and home was infuriating. Dashlane has solved that problem. Update: Customer service for Dashlane is AWFUL. They do not have a phone line, so you have to get help only through email. It may take two or three weeks to resolve a problem. I asked a question and they gave me a canned response which didn’t even answer the question I asked. You cannot contact them by phone, only email. I sent them three emails, each time trying to explain my question in a different way so that maybe I might get an answer. Hello people. Can you read English????? I’ve had to reinstall several times because, out of the blue, it suddenly doesn’t work anymore.
The app works reasonably well but I could have done without the massive memory leak that showed the app using 16GB of RAM — and sending my system into major swapping.
Ok I had major trouble installing the app store version of this. It flat out wouldn’t work at all. Emailed Dashlane support but got no response after a day. Went back to the website and found a tiny “Chat with Customer Support” box at the bottom. That worked, so I’d suggest you use this feature if you’re having problems (they don’t have any phone support that I could find). The chatting agent explained that the version from the Dashlane website should work better, then sent a link to an "App Store Version Uninstaller” that got the hidden files out. **IMPORTANT** You cannot install the Dashlane website version once you’ve installed the App Store version – even after deleting the app (hidden files). I ran the uninstaller, emptied the trash, restarted, then downloaded the software from the website and installed. Working fine now. Have no clue why they’re circumventing the App Store… But whatevs. I’m suing everybody if something shady happens. I’ll update again after a few days. Good luck!
Dashlane is great because I have it on all of my devices and anytime i change one pasword or add a new one on any device it syncs with the other devices. There are some settings that I am still trying to figure out but overall it is an excellent app…
It is the finest program of it’s kind I’ve run acrose. The beauty of it is it’s so easy to use. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Not sure what Dashlane guys smoke … soon they’re going to charge more than Netflix! Also, they want you to talk to your IT security guys to open bunch of PORTS so their app can sync your passwords with their servers! Deleted. I hear LastPass or 1Password don’t have these sort of dramas!!
App crashes. It says it has imported a few passwords from Chrome/Safari but after trying to launch those websites from inside the APP, it does not automaticall log me in nor it gives any option to use what I can see that it has imported. So basically it doesn’t do anything! There is no option for naming an IP address or save under a nickname.
I wrote to support and they sent me an email to uninstall it but no instructions on how to fix a problem. I keep getting a message saying that dashlane quit unexpectedly and I can not fix it but I have had no no support from dashlane.
I Cannot install on new macbook - should be simple, good luck on support with this one.
used dashlane for years. great product. app won’t load tonight on my mac and passwords not being filled in when needed. Tech problems? Please let us know!
Just have to say, I’ve been using dashlane since its unlimited features were free and now being grandfathered in to the unlimited synching service. It is really amazing…cross platform, synching, and saves everything. Maybe add the option to securely save photos…other than that, it is the absolute best and most secure password app on the market. Easy to use and easy to add new data. The interface is simple and easy to get through. I truly depend on this program. I can’t say more about Dashlane, it’s great!
I wish these developers would just be up front with what the actual cost of their apps really are. I don’t want to spend $40 a year for an app like this. It was a waste of time downloading this and setting it up just to find out that it is unusable without paying annually.
In the latest update (v. 4.6.4, build #4.6.4.21734) I can’t open any item from the search bar. Clicking on a search result doesn’t open the item. Nor can I go to the item from the menu icon to the right, clicking on «Edit item». Seems like this action is disabled as it is accompanied with a system sound. However, thank you for fixing unavailability of the Expand / Collapse button on the Sharing Center page. It didn’t work in several previous updates.
I have been using Dashlane for several months and can honestly say it has been a great experience. In this day and age we use passwords so frequently, that trying to keep track of them can be a headache. Fortuantely, with Dashlane, you only need to remember one password to sign in to all sites that require credentials. For a small price, you can sync the software across all devices, which I highly recommend. If you are ready to ditch that old notepad, sign up for Dashlane!
