**UPDATE** Working now OS X 10.11.6 (El Capitan)

Ok I had major trouble installing the app store version of this. It flat out wouldn’t work at all. Emailed Dashlane support but got no response after a day.

Went back to the website and found a tiny “Chat with Customer Support” box at the bottom. That worked, so I’d suggest you use this feature if you’re having problems (they don’t have any phone support that I could find).

The chatting agent explained that the version from the Dashlane website should work better, then sent a link to an "App Store Version Uninstaller” that got the hidden files out.

**IMPORTANT** You cannot install the Dashlane website version once you’ve installed the App Store version – even after deleting the app (hidden files).

I ran the uninstaller, emptied the trash, restarted, then downloaded the software from the website and installed. Working fine now. Have no clue why they’re circumventing the App Store… But whatevs. I’m suing everybody if something shady happens.
