Dashlane - Password Manager App Reviews

It has always locked up forever when trying to SYNC. Always shows free version, even though I have Business version and can’t use its features. Deinstall, reinstall now gives an error when trying to log into my account. One problem after another. I remember using it years ago, and gave up on it back then too.

Just use something else!!

This is a great app to sychronize and store all of your passwords and notes securely. You never realize how many you have until you can see them all in front of you. It also serves a fill in for using credit cards for online purchases. I have been a premium subscriber for a year. This latest update of 4.6.3 broke everything. I can no longer sign in nor fill in my passwords in a browser. I have sent support requests with no response. I just get a screen flash when I attempt to open from a brower or the app console. I purchased it throught the app store and have been monitoring for an update, hoping to get it resolved. The only workaround I have is that I can still pull up my information on my iOS devices to pull passwords. Please fix this app. It actually is pretty good when it works.

We are using the product in a mixed business environment ( windows and macs) and we like the features, specially, password sharing and the emergency contact.. from my experince, i found the app to run faster on windows than on macOS , and it would be great to have the option to add dashlane to the menu bar so you can add quickly a secure note or search something.

Passwords, payments, encrypted notes, and great synchronization across all my computers and devices. Don’t know how I managed without it for so long. Oh yeah, I remember now…poorly. You’d be amazed how many sites you have to manage credentials for. You’ll know it when you get hacked.

I have been using this app for maybe 2 years and I do not know what I would do without it. It is solid, polished, well supported, looks good etc. It has all the good things you might want.

This AM, as expected, it warned me about the yahoo problem. Time to change the password. Got the password changed, using the password random from dashlane. Usually dashlane will ask do you want to chnage the saved password. I figured it was going to be a problem. Signed out of yahoo, signed back in, yahoo did not recognize the password but dashlane prompted for me to use the unsaved password. Thank You dashlane! Saved much time. With all my passwords, each different and long and strange, dashlane keeps me sane.

I have installed and uninstalled both the extension as well as the entire Dashlane program multiple times and yet the extension still does not connect in Safari, meaning it will not log me into any website unless I manually copy the username and password from the dashboard app. Did not have this problem before upgrading to Sierra.

I absolutely love this app it has given the comfort of forgetting passwords and even creating passwords without much thought. I am truly a big fan of the work

We are encouraged to have unique passwords, but many of us use our “tried and true” combinations in a cavalier fashion. Dashlane not only helps store password, but it advises about how frequently they are reused, as well as how safe they are. I have been using Dashlane for four years now, and think it is one of the most helpful applications available, especially for those who use multiple devices to access accounts and internet sites. I have a friend who says she doesn’t need Dashlane because she uses the same password for all of her accounts! I just can’t believe that smart people would not use Dashlane to individualize each foray into WWW. Unlike the other Mac user who posted about Safari problems, I have never had problems in Safari, Firefox, or Chrome. The only place I have ever had difficulty is at the Social Security website — go figure.

This is an amazing app and I would be lost without it. I especially love the integration into the web browser. There’s only one minor issue I’ve been having a hard time with: while on a website where I have to create an account, dashlane will automatically generate a safe password for me to use, and I guess the idea is that it will also store this new username and password in the Dashlane app. However, more than once I have used dashlane to generate a password only to look in the app and see that it has not been created. Effectively I’ve created a new account with a super secure password that I don’t have stored anywhere. Luckily it’s relatively easy to change forgotten passwords with most companies so this hasn’t been a huge issue. It might also be user error and there’s something I’m not doing correctly. Otherwise it’s a great app and getting better!

Great way to generate strong passwords and Sync them across devices. Very easy to use.

Managing passwords is complicated so it’s reassurring to have them all in one place. Dashlane seems to be a good tool for storing and managing them across all my logins on websites, apps, platforms and so on. There’s a bit a of a learning curve when it comes to learning how to get the most out of it and achieving ease of use, but I think it’s worth it.

App won’t sync to cloud, and therefore my other devices. Verified by logging in through the web interface.

Ive been using Dashlane for years, this most recent update is totally broken. I am no longer able to use Dashlane on my mac. The app launches but no windows are shown. I have to look up passwords on my phone and manually type them in. Not a good user experience.

I just updated to the latest version and it does not work. Please fix this as soon as possible. The app is useless right now.

I’m writing this because apparently other people have had the same issue as me, that after this newest update, dashlane stopped working on my mac. I try to open it and no window shows up. Doesn’t matter if I open it from the app store, or from spotlight search, or from applications folder.

I just updated my Dashlane and now it doesn’t work at all…I can’t even open it! I get this message, "“Dashlane” is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete “Dashlane” and download it again from the App Store.” Unfortunately, I can’t delete it nor reinstall it; it won’t let me. HELP!!!!

I’ve been using the paid version of Dashlane for over a year, and just recently signed up for Dashlane Business to use for my entire family. It allows me to have a secure password I don’t have to remember for each individual login I use (and I have over 260 logins). I also love the feature for being able to let Dashlane automatically change/update passwords for certain websites, all with the click of a button (would love to see more websites added to this list - currently only 16 of the 260 logins support this feature). The Security Dashboard is a great way for me to keep on top of any websites that have reused, weak, or old passwords. Dashlane also notifies me when a login that I have has been potentially compromised. The latest one being the yahoo.com accounts that had been hacked. Dashlane notified me before yahoo did about this. I’ve seen Dashlane come a long way over the past year and the product has continued to improve and their support has also gotten better. Has to be the best password manager I’ve used, and I’ve used 1Password, KeePass, and others. Great product and worth the price to keep me and my families’ accounts safe.

I’ve been so happy with Dashlane for several years, but today I woke to a message telling me the Dashlane App is “damaged” and to reinstall. Going through the process it looks like I have to purchase it again? I’m not sure what’s up but nothing’s working. There’s a ghost in the machine….please repair so I can get back to business again. I have a Mac, by the way. I totally rely on Dashlane for my passwords so PLEASE fix ASAP? Thank you very much.
