Dashlane - Password Manager App Reviews
If you’re listening, please please please work harder to bring touchid to the macbook pro. also Works well most of the time — although there are a few websites for me where it constantly asks me if I’d like to add a new account when I log in… It’s a bit cumbersome to use on iOS because you have to pull up a separate menu to activate it (doesn’t auto log-in).
I recommend
Intuitive software, stable and features excellent integration with the Mac OS. I recommend.
Great App!
Great app, is a life changing app on what concern internet safety.
I have registered and downloaded Mac App. It worked once, but now I just can’t login anymore due to a time out message. I can’t even create a new account.
The app seems to interrupt in every website, there is no option to say "I dont want to register TOO MUCH personal details". The data is stored "in the cloud", God knows where, and I dont want my credit card numbers being stored there. Very annoying, dont spend your money on this!
Works and looks great. Its very convenient. Feels secure, and the built-in security dashboard warns you if you’re not. I would recommend it. It’s at least as good as 1Password, IMO.
Very good and nearly perfect, a few passwords are not properly stored and filled (might the ‘other’ side’), the wallet app is not flexible enough (there are other card categories…)
German support
German support please.
Very pleased with this purchase. It goes above and beyond what you’d expect for security and password protection. We have hundreds of passwords in our business and this app is perfect for managing them all! Sync is easy and overall function is intuitive.
Good Password App
Very simple and elegant to use. Looks great now on the Retina Display!
stupid
you try to save passwords and it takes FOREVER dont even know if it does cause i won’t wait that long to process!!
Great as ever.
Fantastic and handy utility.
Like many people I used to have several typewritten pages of website logins and passwords. I reused passwords frequently which is a very bad idea and they weren’t always very strong to begin with. Now I let Dashlane handle all except my main online bank account details (because I am still paranoid about that one, not because it can’t do it well). I no longer shudder when going to some new vendor to order something and have to create another login/password. Dashlane handles it well. The ability it has to handle our separate profiles and credit cards as well makes ordering things really fast and painless most of the time. I say most of the time because I have run into a few websites where it did not recognise all the fields on the first go. However it did assist me in completing them semi-automatically. Dashlane was also responsive to a request to fix the login in to a multipage login website that I needed to use repeatedly. I really like the ability to automatically share and sync (via the premium version for $20/year) with both my and my wifes macs as well as our iPad. The premium is well worth it for us. You can sync manually for no cost if you prefer, I just prefer the auto option. I can also use it through a web browser if I don’t have my devices with me. Overall highly recommended.
After several days of learning how to use the Mac and Windows versions of the app on 2 devices, I’m beginning to trust the app a lot more with my passwords. I currently maintain a manual list of all my passwords, but confident i’ll soon give it up. I also tried the iOS version of the app on my iPhone but found it didn’t store passwords of apps I often use so deleted it. Maybe i’ll try the iOS version again at a later time.
I tried 1password before and if you ask me, Dashlane is much more intuitive and stylish than 1password. It does everything it shoud do very well. I love it.
I love Dashlane for password creation/management on my desktop, but it’s not so easy to use on an iPhone/iPad/smartphone. The app doesn’t automatically log you into other apps or websites when using a more portable devices, and so you have to manually copy and paste between windows. Not a huge deal, but I wish the phone/iPad version functioned more like the desktop app.
After reading several reviews on external sites for a decent password manager, i settled on dashlane - It seems to have the best bang for the buck, including two factor authentication via my iPhone. It’s available for pretty well every platform, which is a nice touch. The yearly charge isn’t overly pricey considering it’s the manager of your digital wallet. I’ve been reccomending it to most of my friends, especially since heartbleed.
Dashlane
Used all my aplication memory and rendered everything frozen with beach ball.
The app itself is good, but it doesn’t sync very well. If I use the ‘Generate Strong Password’ feature, it does so, but then doesn’t actually store it in Dashlane on your PC, and you end up having to use the ’See generated passwords’ feature to recover it; so that feature’s kind of useless. Also, if I change a password when I’m on my PC, it doesn’t sync it to my iPad, even though the ‘Sync On’ shows a successful green checkmark; so I’ve got to view the password on my PC, then manually type it into my iPad. Tech support was unable to help me. I am paying for the Pro version so this is a bit frustrating.
