abc12345 is a safe password.
Problems:
***0- if you’re making a password, Dashlane thinks abc1234 is a weak password, but abc12345 is a STRONG password!! Are you kidding me?
1- eats up a lot of memory because constantly running and on lookout for fields to fill in, even if they are not passwords (very annoying).
2- The desktop app is pretty clunky, not easy to use, and found myself being more annoyed than satisfied.
3- The browser extensions, similarly, are not optimizing well enough, and found myself not being able to fill in passwords for certain websites (ie: Wall Street Journal & WSJ) because one of their subdomains is not included in the password manager.
4- Password generator is not set to default maximum security, (only letters, no symbols or digits, have to set manually, security risk…)
5- Password generator does not work frequently making new accounts, have to manually go into password generator and generate password
6- Price Yearly expensive subscription? Would not pay for this, did not even like it as free. PASS
7- Could not figure out how to store passwords locally, if these guys are hacked like LastPass, yet another security issue not making local storage easily accessible.
8-now all dashlane does is freeze safari and refuses to cooperate with chrome. will be removing momentarily….
P.S.[I was not paid for this review] Used the free 1password and liked it significantly more than Dashlane (and I got the premium 1-year Dashlane for free as a promo…).
